Having a look at the 964 (probably the lessor desired Targa or cab).

This looks nice, anyone know or seen the car

https://themodernclassiccarco.com/sales/964targare...

Prices seem to have jumped the 993 which is a bit of a surprise.

Any pointers or heads up on available cars much appreciated.

Dunno that car, but I do recognise the lovely background and quality photos from a vendor that has been sometimes found controversial in the past.

Car might be fine. But certainly one of the worst vendors in the UK. You'd have to be a pathological masochist to buy from them.

Bit of a dogs dinner with the retro Fuchs and chromed hoop etc on a 964.

Standard 964 looks better or go impact bumper if you want a more retro car.

As others have said there are better independent sellers.

Don’t know of the seller and their reputation but having watched the video I would struggle to see past the gaudy gold chain bracelet he is wearing.
That and the wheels look all wrong. The whole car feels wrong. There is no patina, it’s had the all life of it taken away.

I find it hard to believe it can be that original after 90,000 miles. It looks like new.

Those wheels do not suit the 964 they would have to go.

Agree. It looks too new, as strange as that may sound. Something is off about it.

This, don't even think about it.

Bit of a shame about the dealer.

Managed to do a bit of digging and the car was sold in 2012 on reg K52 RLR at 82000 miles having just been resprayed obviously difficult to know how good a job was done but 10 years on it seems very bright !. Current plate is 964 JAS, if anyone knows it ?

Last owner done the wheels hoop and dials since 2018. I actually like the wheels and hoop (not so much the dials).

Seems to have been for sale a couple of months and it’s at the other end of the country from me so not ideal.

Seems last/current owner is closer, It could be on SOR, so maybe it will appear for sale elsewhere if it doesn’t sell.

hmm... the front chassis rails look too shiny.. I know the 993's weren't painted 'properly' at the factory but not sure about 964's ?

Recognise the website too. There was a very interesting 996 Turbo thread from years ago where the dealer posted quite a lot.
