I'm just revisiting the spec on my 911 4S Cab, originally ordered a good 6 months ago now, but I'm going round in circles with the Sport Design Package painted in Black (high-gloss).

I haven't actually seen this kit in the flesh but have seen it on a few photos - What's the general consensus on it?

On some photos it looks good, others it looks like cheap plastic!

The car will be GT Silver with the 5 spoke Carrera Exclusive Design Alloy wheels painted black, with mirror lower trim bases in high gloss black, so there will be elements to match.

Anyone seen it on a physical car, or have any thoughts on it?

I am sure you want opinions of it having seen it in the flesh and this might not help but this is a good video tour of that package

It does appear like a magnet for hairline scratches.
I guess it depends on what colour you go for, and rims......the gloss black rims work well with it.

I prefer the matt look...

It is less blingy.

Thanks for taking the time to share this Julian.

Yes I agree, full black polished wheels are not to my taste, I was thinking more this style of wheel:

I'm still not convinced about the high gloss. While part of me thinks it will tie in with the high gloss inner drum of the wheels, I'm just not sure if it will look a bit tacky.

Will check out my local dealers, to see if they've got a car there with it

Those wheels look the business. Those are the Fuch reissue ones I think for the Sports Classic.
Yep the gloss black is bordering on the side of tacky. The paint is shiny enough, and shiny plastic competes with it too much in my opinion.

Thanks Julian, glad you think the wheels are a good choice.

I think you're right, I'll stick to the standard Sport Design Pack - Just saved me a £1,000 there thumbup

Gloss black on GT Silver looks great, but if you prefer a more muted look then matte.

It’s all about personal taste. I’ve got high gloss pack on my shark blue and am very happy with it. The car has full PPF so all the gloss is protected. The wheels are a bit high maintenance and are going to get some scratches. Hosepipe ban means I can’t clean at the moment so they’re well covered!

I was convinced on high gloss black when I saw a green 992 on one of the dealer forecourts and very pleased I went with it.
