Wondering what everyones thoughts are on the availability of new GT cars for 2023/2024

I have owned 996RS 991RS and 718GT4, last two were new for OPC

sold gt4 back to opc last year as needed funds for something else.

been unable to get any chance of a GT3 of GT4 car for 2023/24,

have been offered a GTS for 2024, assume they arent on any limited list,

thoughts ? will market slow down and gt cars become more available or just go for the GTS,

regards scott

Stick a deposit on the GTS and if another better option comes along, just swap your deposit

Ain’t it a bit early in the day to be assuming you won’t get a build slot for 2024 taking into account the OPC’s will have no idea yet what’s available?

given they will be listed soon, I suspect there will be a lot of cars available - need to make those quarterly targets to keep investors happy

look at what happened at Ferrari post IPO in terms of numbers/editions etc (even if that is obviously a very different level of cars produced)

Porsche to Investors: "The market wants 10,000 GT cars a year but we only make 5,000"

Investors: "Well fooken make 10,000 a year then!"

If you had one 718 GT4 from your OPC it is very unlikely you would get another.

Did you sell it back to the OPC at a favourable price ( to them) and/or on the basis you would get a GT car allocation perhaps? If so ypu could possibly use this as leverage for an allocation.

Some reckon Porsche GT car production will increase over the next few years but many including myself remain unconviced especially as with the current backdrop production will be diverted to more profitable markets such as the US.

The other aspect is that large price increases on list price ££ are inevitable across all models particularly limited run Porsche GTs especially as margin will increasingly replace the already low volumes.

I know examples of people that had multiple 718 GT4 or Spyder from their OPC.

Ordered Manual Spyder.. handed back order PDK GT4… handed back… Ordered PDK Spyder… and then got GT4 RS and will get Spyder RS.

Also… order Manual GT4, hand back for used 991.2 GT3… offered overs for 991.2 back in exchange for PDK GT4 slot.

So it depends on whether or not you have some leverage.

I would sit tight for the winter, gt market is definitely slowly down. As these cars start dropping in price month by month, many owners will run for the hills and try and cash out.

Have you tired different opc or just your usual one? I mentioned in another thread that a opc ended up taking a new unregistered gt4 into stock, was either an allocation they couldn’t sell or last minute cancelled order. The car was offered and sold at list by the opc.

Interesting the amount of people who have had multiple 718 gt4 slots. I was offered two, bought the second slot.

I’m also aware of another customer who has had two 718 gt4 slots, he bought both plus many other new gt cars.

Yes I sold it back to Opc at well under list. They sold it on at well above list.
I did suspect demand will drop based on current financial crisis with interest rates rising. It supply still seems very low from Porsche to uk. Haven’t tried other opcs as no relationship with them.
I’m going to see them next week. See what they say. Thanks for replies everyone.
