Hi all, Have a boring question but wondering if anyone can explain/justify the over £13k Price difference between the two cars as below the differences Ive managed to piece together.
Targa 4 = 385 PS and £105,800 19/20 rears
Targa 4S = 450 PS and £118,800 20/21 rears
STD on Targa 4S : Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), which includes an electronic rear limited slip differential with fully variable torque distribution. On the Targa 4, the standard cast iron rotors measure 330 millimeters in
diameter front and rear and use black four-piston monobloc fixed callipers. The red painted brake callipers on the Targa 4S have six pistons at the front axle, four at the rear,
while its rotors measure 350 mm front and rear.

Other than the differences above are there any other differences that Im being oblivious to?

Other than what you have already mentioned it just power and wheels

Targa 4 = 385 PS and 450Nm
Targa 4s = 450 PS and 530Nm

Targa 4 = 19-inch/ 20-inch Carrera Wheels with 235/40 ZR 19 front tyres and 295/35 ZR 20 rear tyres
Targa 4s = 20-/21-inch Carrera S wheels with 245/35 ZR 20 front tyres and 305/30 ZR 21 rear tyres

It’s worth bearing in mind that the Targa variant is much heavier than the standard coupe and thus the lower power engine may not provide the desired performance but clearly that’s a subjective assessment. It’s often recommended to add the PTV+ option back in to a C4 car too and I would guess the same applies to a Targa 4. It’s about £1k. From the classic Porsche perspective the additional £13K for the 4S gives you access to even more cost options. 😊
