Now that the cold weather has arrived, the passenger door has started to rattle around the grate behind the door pull, common looking online. Currently I have a 2" rubber ball pushed between the pull and the grate and it all but eliminates it, but not a good look..
I know its under warranty, but My experience of Dealers with these issues, is "sorry we can't hear it sir" or broken clips with 10 more rattles..

Has anyone taken the door card off to sort this themselves? Youtube videos look straight forward. But does anyone know what to do to the door/doorcard once its off to stop the rattle/buzz? cant find any detail online.

Cheers

Sorry in advance for this unhelpful comment, but it’s comforting to know that Porsche still haven’t solved rattly door trims

Yep seems to be a common one. I've booked it in with OPC for next week, so we will see where this goes..

I had a door trim rattle a while ago, the tech used a CD in the PCM to find it successfully, it output a series of different frequency sounds as I remember.

I know exactly where it is, as there is currently a rubber ball there stopping it. I wish I had more faith..

But I will be the first to come back and support them positively if they just get on with it.

This may be irrelevant, I had a rattle from around the seat belt or door striker plate on the 991.2 GTS. I found my rear tyres had been over-inflated during a tyre change. I adjusted the pressure and the rattle went!

I had the rattling in my passenger door on my 992 Turbo. They eventually traced it to the wiring harness in the door and put a bit of foam in which cured it.

This will sound daft but it is what I was told and outcome was no more noise.
I had a vibration type noise on my drivers side door. It was due to the A/C needing filling up.
My OPC said that they had seen batches where the fluids were low due to the expense.
They did try to charge for a regas, originally said system didn’t have a leak but gasses can escape. They quickly saw the errors of their ways as the car was new.
May help?

The outcome;

Dropped the car the day before booking as no courtesy cars and only time I could get a lift.
Arrived at a building site, with a demolished OPC along side where I had to park my car, in a cramped area amongst many others. Somewhere I would never park any of the cars I own.

Car was taken to the next town (different county) to their New/Temporary (who knows?) workshop to be worked on.
After two calls next day chasing; "Sorry Sir cant reproduce"
Ok I'll pick it up, few minutes later; "ah we can hear it now, we will keep and sort it"
next day goes by, tracker shows car not unlocked or moved.
I pick up car, as I need it/not happy with the whole process.

Why? lack of transparency.
If I had been told the site was a building site and the car will be driven to another town to work on, I would of declined and booked next year/elsewhere. but with no transparency I wasn't allowed to make informed decisions. If the car gets stone chipped (its a terrible road) who is responsible?

Not great. Get in car, I expect seat/mirrors to all be moved (for some reason pre-sets had gone?) but they had retuned the radio, and changed the dash from my preferred 4 dial display, back to the 6 dial variant.. nothing major, but I couldn't remember how to change back so I'm sitting on side of road on google. these are all annoyances related to taking your car elsewhere.

And of course its still rattling away..

First world problems, heyho..
