Hi All, first time poster, please be gentle with me. I've searched a lot on these forums and can't find any opinions on this.

I've owned one 911 before, a 991.1 4S so I'm not a Porsche expert by any means. UK based.

I find myself in the fortunate position to be in the market for either a 991.2 Turbo or Turbo S coupe. I plan to have the car for 2 years and put about 30,000 miles on it. At my price range I can get a Turbo with about 5,000 miles on the clock or a Turbo S with about 35,000 miles.

I don't mind which version I get (Turbo or Turbo S) and I'm not particularly fussed about the spec. I know that whatever model version I find myself owning will be an amazing car and blow my mind daily. My main concern is the depreciation. My budget is around £105k, give or take.

Does anyone know which car might lose more value:

991.2 Turbo going from 5,000 miles to 35,000 miles
991.2 Turbo S going from 35,000 miles to 65,000 miles

Any advice appreciated!
Thanks very much

If you buy a plain Turbo you will always regret not buying the Turbo S.

Also you will lose more on the Turbo over your mileage profile because it is seven times higher as opposed to roughly only double the mileage on the Turbo S.

991.2 Turbo
£105K 5,000 miles
to
£80K 35,000 miles

= £25K loss

991.2 Turbo S
£105K 35,000 miles
to
£70K 65,000 miles

= £35K loss

Those are based on prices through dealers. Private sale would mean you'd likely have to list it for a bit less - probably a loss of £30K on the Turbo and £40K on the Turbo S. Harder sell in two years a Turbo S with +60K miles.
