Flippers and DW front suspension would appear to be partly to blame.
I expected mine to be very stiff and jiggly from what people had told me but not at all absolutely fine for road use, great car to drive. jm8403 said:

I know someone who had one.
Saw him a few weeks ago and asked him how it was going and said he’d sold it.
Said, unless he was going to use it on track, it wasn’t really that great on UK roads.
He also thought that there were actually quite a lot sold, so decided to get out while there was a profit in it.
Dealer offered him a slot for the new 992T which he thinks will suit him much better.

Is 37 cars for sale really a lot considering there are likely ~700 registered in the UK? Proportionate to the number registered there was probably a greater percentage for sale a year ago.
The low speed ride on very bumpy roads ~20 mph is a bit jittery but once on the move at higher speed it's fine. Chris Harris put it down to the seat cushioning ("not enough cushioning under your ar5e" or something like that) but I don't think that has anything to do with it. DW alone doesn't result in harsher ride (the R8 has had DW since 2006) - it's the spring / damper setup.

Someone did say if you the tyre pressures right then it’s absolutely fine!
Also set the ARB's to soft front and rear and get a decent geo.The spring rate is the same up front as the 991.2 GT3 RS but the spring angle is very different with the DW front suspension. Although it's only a true DW at the top, the bottom pair coffin arms.

Are there really 700 x 992 GT3 in the UK? Seems like a really big number that?
Including Tourings, I'd say that's a fair estimate. I now see @Boyd Rees was referring only to winged GT3s as there are a total of 47 GT3s (incl. Touring) for sale on AT.There were 557 GT3s (incl. Touring) registered as of end Q3, 2022 with 167 and 143 registered in Q2 and Q3 respectively. Continuing that trend to Q4 and and Q1, 2023, 700+ total seems a fair estimate. I know my local OPC has registered at least 2 x Touring and 1 x winged in Q1, and that's one dealer out of 44 in UK. We will have full insight on the numbers when the DVLA release the data mid year.
