1995 C2 owner needing suspension overhaul including new dampers. I want a standard ride, not stiff or bumpy.

Porsche Classic green ones are insanely pricy, alternatives seem to be Bilstein B6s but I have heard reports of crashy ride on 911uk. Seems to be a 'B6' and 'B6 Sport'. With delivery problems possibly on former - rears in particular.

Hi

I replaced my dampers with Koni FSD's - pretty happy with them

I also replaced the original springs with M033 lowering springs (same spring rate as standard, but drop the car10/15 mm lower)

Plus lots of bushes etc replaced at the same time smile

Ah yes - I'm afraid this is one of those impossible questions.

Jackal chose KW3 and then changed to PSS10.

Cheaper favourites seem to be Koni FSD?

I have Bilstein HD and Techart springs but very old now - probably need a change, but I like it just the way it is. My MOT tester says it's too stiff to check if the Bilsteins actually work or are seized in-place. I never know if he's joking or not.

Update:

SCS has fitted 4 x Koni, 4 x new top mounts, bump stops, rear upper/lower arms and rebushed front arms with Superpro poly bushes. Plus various other bits and pieces. Then total alignment.

Quick drive back shows car to be much better. Definitely not too hard. Getting good feedback from rear and it 'sits down' better. At least two Monroes were totally shot and the rubber bushes and top mounts in a bad way.

Bilstein a possibility but still not sure on which ones are firmer and also supply issues. Koni best for performance and price. Only downside is Koni quality not as good as in Ferrari era - won't last as long.

I'm happy, if poorer. Nice job at SCS.
