Any recommendations for non-original brake discs for a 996 Mk2 GT3?

Does anyone know who the OEM was for these?

Alcon did an upgrade which was available exclusively via JZM. It was a floating rotor. I think it had a slightly larger diameter than standard and therefore needed a small spacer for the caliper and new longer caliper bolts. I had a set on my 996 GT3RS.

I had the JZM Alcon kit on my 996 RS too. Was a good setup.

I don’t do any track work at all in this car - I have a race car for that - so I’m just really looking for a standard setup.

Performance Friction do an aftermarket steel option which I've used and would recommend based on track work, but perhaps overkill for road (PF discs and pads as a combo were generally noisier than OEM).

Surface Transforms ceramic discs are now available for 996 GT3 / RS (not personally used)

I had the JZM Alcon combo on mine. NSF keeps coming loose though.

I’ve ditched them now and have standard one piece discs as I don’t track the car.
I’ve fitted Fremax discs in the standard size. Official supplier to Porsche Cup Brazil (which may or may not mean much hehe )

Still fantastic stopping power as I’ve left the RS29 pads in.

Any decent German brand will be fine for road use. Porsche discs are supplied by SHW and they only supply Porsche so you wont get true OEM discs outside of OPC

I used to use Zimmerman discs (OEM supplier I believe) for both road and track on my 996.2 GT3
Never had an issue with them and used to be pretty cheap buying them from fvd.net

Not necessarily correct.

I got my hands on a full set of SEBRO discs from Germany and they carried the Porsche label on the boxes.

Check the labels, they look like Porsche but dont actually say PORSCHE anywhere on them!
