Hi I recently picked up my dakar and it has the fire extinguisher fitted in front of the passenger seat, however there is another provided with a bracket (comes in the boot with the hanses's) but dealer is not sure where it should go, anybody had this? and been provided with 2? if so where did you fit it or did you just keep it as a spare?

To answer your question, to fit the second fire extinguisher you need to take out the carpet and you will see two holes (from memory) that the strap brackets screw into. Problem is to make the carpet refit you will most likely need to cut it out in the shape of the extinguisher, if it's like the GT3 anyway. I couldn't find one from Porsche with the cut out already made. Pic attached. Lovely car btw, enjoy. Edited to say sorry don't know why photo is sideways but hopefully you get the idea.

No worries, yeah it is a bit of a mess when you have to cut the mat but I reckon Porsche do make a pre-cut one, I just couldn't source it. It is a GMT yep, well spotted!

A local seamstress will be able to bind that cut out edge.

For getting on for 200 grand I’d rather hope Porsche could help…
