Buyer’s remorse

Hi guys, I have been hankering for a gt3 rs for a few years now and I finally bought one a month ago! It’s a 2016 991.1 in silver and has only covered 4k miles and is immaculate! I have it parked in garage waiting for nice weather to enjoy it! It’s the biggest purchase I have ever made bar my house, I now am thinking have I done the right thing with the prices dropping ?? someone make me feel better ??

There is no way you'd have entered into it thinking prices will go up?.... there is only one direction and that is down....but you must have realised that surely. Its not a Sports Classic or anything rare. You have only lost money if you sell it, so enjoy it to the max and don't stress on it. A drive in it will make you feel better than moping around the house about it.

Only messing really of course I didn’t expect to make money on it and can afford to keep hold of it, just does put thoughts in head at where it will stop with all the threads you read.

One of mine needs discs and pads and four new tyres all round, I have enjoyed every second in that car, it’s only money. You are a long time dead.

50% depreciation, therefore drive it twice as fast (on track) and twice as long. Enjoy it.

I think you always regret buying a car following the purchase, most of the excitements in the search.

I have one also. No regrets as I tend to keep them anyway...I have a 997RS and 991RS also. If you paid list price you should be OK for a while. I think the exposure is for those who paid major premiums.

Drive it. All your worries and concerns will then all go away plus it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, same as a house really.

I'd worry about depreciation if/when you come to sell it.

You could mitigate depreciation costs with an LPG conversion and by switching to windpower tyres.

Not for me - the search was a bit stressful (low supply, rising prices, getting gazumped) and the ownership and driving has been monumentally fking great.
