Hi, does anyone have any experience of running a GT3 with the noise limits at a Goodwood trackday? The car is a 991,2 with a standard exhaust.

Thanks

No issues with a stock exhaust.

Assuming it's a 'noisy' day (105db drive-by) you'll be fine as long as you do not depress the sports exhaust button.

The soft rev limiter means you'll sail thru the static test as well.

My 991.2 'touring' has done loads of laps of Goodwood without being flagged for noise more than once or twice (when i had accidently depress the sports exhaust button) and many a time people of commented how strongly it howls when passing the pits.

enjoy !

As has been said. No issues with standard system and leaving the button alone.

Thanks both, it is a 98db day so I might struggle with the drive by but I will give it a go.

Sorry to say it but I suspect you are wasting your money on a 98db day. My Boxster gts 981 measured at 101db static and I was advised I need to book a 105db day.

You might just get away with it if you have particulate filters and don’t mind short shifting a lot but I’d see if I’d you can get a 105 day or go down before hand and get a noise test (available most days) if I was you!

Yep - I had assumed it was a 105db day, which there would be no issues with, as stated prior.

98db will probably be an problem. Best to check directly with TDO.

Ran my 991 touring there no probs on 105 days. Since then, have fitted a JCR back box and need to fit down pipes to get past the limits (gets through at 104 with down pipes fitted).

I have just purchased a track day silencer so will report back on the success of that.
