Both impressive.

Fantastic. Love seeing a high end car being used as intended and not sat in a garage!

Brilliant !! We get to precious about our 911’s, it’s a car, well used and looked after probably been cheap transport and a wonderful experience.
Anyone else remember the Porsche 911 magazine advertisement,,, “how could you afford not to own one “ or something like that .

UK clocking culture? There isn't a "clocking culture" in the UK, except in the more scummy sections of society.

Most of these stories of hyper mile cars are just from cruising across the large expanses of mainland (N) Americas ... you hear same stories with other cars too.

Approaching 107k miles on my 911 turbo. According to some that is starship mileage on a 911 hehe Fantastic swiss army knife of 911s.

That 930 is now nearly on 1 million miles those mileage numbers a bit out of date wink

How do you put 107k on the clock when you never drive it? I mean, when I went in to have some work done last week, it was at the specialist you've clearly donated it to. biggrin It's always there whenever I visit. I used to think it was a car that was Sale or Return. nuts

I saw someone working on Minty's passenger door the other day.

I managed 8000 wonderful all weather miles inc a track day as soon as Minty was delivered to me after completion Oct 2022. I was lucky enough to move overseas last year. Minty will be following me soon I'd never sell that would be total heresy smile

Good to see you're using it! Minty looks happy. biggrin

Mine was washed after having something fixed and then I drove it back in the winter rain. It looks filthy, now!

As an aside was the person working on the outside of the passenger door or inside?

Love these high mileage stories, thanks for sharing.

Question does come to my mind though, how many hours a day are they spending on driving? I mean, I love driving as much as anyone else on here, but 200 miles PER DAY? That's a minimum of 4 hours if averaging 50mph, which they probably don't, so say 5 or 6 hours.

Does anyone really want to spend 25% of their life driving in traffic?

Inside - door was open. Couldn't see what he was doing. Have I just got someone in trouble?

You access the port for the durametric from the passenger footwell so they may have perhaps been uploading Minty’s original base 650bhp 9e 28 map for the MOT. The 700bhp map which runs on 99 octane is not emissions compliant nor is the 750-800bhp MS109 race fuel map. Ken and Adam more paranoid about that turbo than I am it’s their baby!

Do you get much hassle for no front numberplate?

It's amazing what quality engineering combined with considerate maintenance can achieve ... I really do wonder at the wisdom of 24 month oil changes that Porsche propose for even the most track specced cars ?

Hi mileage in more special cars isn’t anything new in Europe either… My LHD 928GT did 320,000km without issues betweeen 1990 and 2000 while based in Hamburg with its original owner. Plenty of 3.2, 964, 993s before they disappeared off the classifieds in Europe with 250,000km or more.

Heck, Maserati GranTurismos with less than 100,000km in Europe are considered a rarity…

It’s just here where we think than anything over 60k miles is a wreck good only for the crapheap…
