Hi Hive,

Im looking for a convertible 4 seater grand tourer (something that will fit my 2year old in the back, with the Mrs in the front) and have narrowed it down to the 911 given its price and approved use features. Other contenders were the DBS - but feel its not worth £150k, DB11 - feels mildly dated, (have I missed anything else?). Im hoping to use it for daily use, weekend trips and maybe 1-2 euro trips.

Looking at used 911's on AT; Ive been attracted to the Carrera 4S/ 4 Targa but always heard a lot about the GTS(Rokenr).

As someone who's new to the brand, what would your recommendations or considerations be?

Thank you and your opinions would be greatly appreciated!

If you are putting a 2 year old in the back go full convertible, the backs a horrid place in a Targa due to the airflow, it buffets back in from the open section rather than the smoother airflow of the full convertible.

For me I'd get the GTS as they are just that little bit more special.

I would take a 991.2 GTS over a 992 4S cab but that's personal preference. The Ferraris are interesting but for daily driving it would be the Porsche for me.
