Arghh. Seem to have lost one of my keys. Anyone know how much it costs to buy a new one and have it recoded to the car? Mine isn't keyless entry. Am guessing £500-£800 or something outrageous, although my insurance will contribute

I can find out the exact number from my OPC next week, but in the meantime if anyone knows roughly how much it'd be useful. Can't find anything online. Thanks

Some insurance policies come with key care. They will replace the key if you lose one. It is not classed as a claim so doesnt affect no claims bonus. Worth checking if you have it. If you don't then perhaps think about a different company next year who does have it. Then perhaps you could lose the key next year once you have the key cover in place.

Yep. Mine (Admiral) will contribute £500 towards the cost, and it doesn't affect NCD as you say.

Am 99% certain the key's in the house, so betting it'll show up the day after I get a new one done rolleyes
