Not collected it yet, hopefully within a couple of weeks but I’m quite excited!

Will be interesting to see how the ownership experience compares to the 996 GT2 I had for 14 years. A little step back in crazy stakes but I’m 20 years older than when I bought the GT2 so maybe it’ll be more “age appropriate”

Any ownership tips and experience would be appreciated! It’ll have the Porsche warranty so I won’t be looking to make any changes really, just learning the car. Hoping for some track days probably Spa and Donington to name just two of my favourites. Portimao would be epic but a bit of a road trip so will take a lot more planning.

So Hi to fellow 991.2 turbo s owners!

Of course there’s always the chance it’ll feel too heavy and may end up a gateway car to the 991.2 GT3 Manual I’ve also been considering. But I suspect not. I suspect I’ll love the excess of torque and the way it’ll flatter me on track days.

Yes it was quite an excellent experience thanks. I basically was looking at the usual 991.2 more exotic offerings and the GT4RS but needing something GT3 like to sit in but with turbo power. And bam! Here was one for sale that hit the exact mark and which turned out to be impossible to think of any reasons not to buy.

You timing was perfect, very rarely do Turbo's come with Folding Carbon Buckets, what a machine beer

Can't wait till you try the launch bandit

It’s funny that I thought of the idea just as one was for sale. Serendipity. Thanks all.

Favourite colour and folding buckets ( much prefer these over 918 style) what’s not to like. Absolutely lovely beast, enjoy in good health.

Good choice, especially over a GT3, I went 991.1 turbo s to 991.2 turbo s to 991.2 GT3, GT 3 lasted 3 weeks, totally unusable on the road, wouldn’t see which way a turbo went….maybe not a popular opinion on here but I see the GT3 as the emperors new clothes.

It’s interesting but when I said something similar of my GT2 over the GT3 it was also an unpopular opinion. The disadvantage of the 991.2 turbo is I think 200kgs (although I guess with these lighter seats I might be saving 10% of that difference) but all that torque, as with the GT2, really does make a great road option. I just don’t want to have to go down 3 or 4 gears to get the same pick up at lower speeds.

Saying that, the GT3 is an incredible machine no question about it.

What you say about your real world experience making the GT3 intolerable against the turbo s is quite stark!
