I heard some time ago that Porsche had a DND alert out on some models fitted with C/L wheels, did this ever affect the 991.2 Turbo S?

Looking at how they work with the locking piece, it seems to be they’re pretty unlikely indeed impossible to undo if they’re done up right.

Who on here change their own wheels? I’m likely to get a set of winters and would rather change them over myself to save the ballache of getting them done at Porsche. I’d need a torque multiplier and the correct grease of course but they don’t look too bad really.

I change my own. It’s not hard once you done it once. It’s quick aswell.

I have a digital torque reader (~£130), length of scaffold, special grease.

Many thanks indeed, do you have a link for the torque wrench you have? And the grease?

Also, does a 991.2 turbo s usually come with the 3/4" drive adapter for removing them? And what about the bit you screw on to slide the wheel clear of the PCCBs with?

I've just bought a Norbar 5R-N 1000nm torque wrench, should be fine. Alternative with that Sealey 3:1 torque multiplier and a new 350nm wrench would have been a lot more money and hassle to use.

Is there a link to a trusted youtube showing the correct method?

Adaptor is in the front boot. Castrol optimol paste TA (I got mine from design911). I brought a wheel mounter from eBay - it s the same themat fits lambos. But if there are 2 or you you don t need it, and tbh you can just lift off without so long as you are careful . This the torque reader I got - they are much more accurate than a straight bar (see YouTube for comparisons) and it’s beeps as you get closer to whatever you set it to and then you get solid beep when you are at the good torque https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009GLITFW?psc=1&...
