Hi all this one’s for the Porsche Owners I’m 6ft5 and wondering if I’ll fit comfortably into a 997.1 Turbo without being cramped (long body).I don’t want to travel 200+ miles to find I don’t fit,Thanks all. Drew

Is there not a normal 997 more local to you at a dealer that you can go and have a sit in? They’re not rare cars.

You will fit lengthways, if i remember right the 997 generation is particularly helpful for taller folk.

Im a shortarse but broad, if you are wide certain seats may be uncomfortable on your lats.

I'm 6'4" and fitted in my old one without a problem. I'd avoid cars with sunroofs as I think that lowers the head height. Convertible is probably better again :-)

I Wish the nearest Porsche dealer is 102 miles away, I live in the Cambrian mountains fantastic roads but no dealers for miles

I think there's more headroom, as much as 2 inches, on a non sunroof car?

you'll want a 997 T with buckets as it will sit you a good inch lower than the other seats. Non sunroof will save you an inch above. Clutch travel can be long, so legroom might be more of an issue than in PDK automatics. If its manual with sunroof and normal seats it will be very cramped and claustrophobic for you.

As always the answer is “it depends”. I’m 6’4” and-a-bit and have driven one with no issue at all. But I also fit fine in an S1 Elise so I’m maybe a weird shape.

Not sure though how much of a unicorn a 997 Turbo with buckets and sunroof deleted would be? - might be non existent.....but you could always do a delete with replacing the roof panel and headlining, and buy a set of 997 bucket seats,

I'm 6'6" and have a 997 GTS. I fit absolutely fine, but the car does not have a sunroof which may make a difference.
