992.2 GT3 Assist Button

I saw a YouTube video where Andreas explains you can disable the lane assist feature using the new GT3 Assist Button. But doesn't Lane Assist only function with a forward-facing camera to monitor the road, and GT3s don't have this camera? Am I missing something?

Yes they do have the camera. It is also used for the Matrix (std and HD) headlights.

But I tend to just use the button on the bottom of the cruise stalk for lane assist, and program the diamond button the the steering wheel for the speed warning. Although the speed warning chime is really quiet in this car. Way way quieter than in our 2024 Cayenne.

Wow, I didn't know that. Where is the camera, considering the normal 992.2 has the third eye under the front bumper?

In the windscreen by the rear view mirror

The eye in the front bumper is for radar cruise.
