Hi there, just wondered if any of you guys know what the procedure is for clearing the roof drains (not cab or targa) on a 991.1. Just been quoted £350 by opc to have this urgent work completed but not fully convinced it’s a thing on this gen? Opc suggested 1.5 hrs work and the undertrays need to be removed . Said car does have a sunroof….

Having clogged sunroof drains can end up in water entering the cabin and pooling in the footwells which is where a lot of the electronic components are.

This.. don’t think about the small job is it worth 350, think about the cost if you don’t. Actually becoming more of a problem even with modern cars. Definitely would be doing mine every 2 years now. I’m sure Porsche will insist on it soon to keep extended warranties intact.

Honestly, that price is a joke for what it is. Find a local independent Porsche specialist, they'll do it for probably half that or less. You can even try a high-end detailer, some of them do this kind of stuff now. Just get it done, don't let it sit or you'll be replacing expensive electronics.
