I’ve decided to treat myself to a new 992. Initial thoughts were that the base model is more than enough car for my purposes. But, after adding a few options, I ended up closing the price gap to the S by about half, with some options (sports exhaust, Bose) being standard on the latter.

So, obviously, I’ve decided that I absolutely need an S - particularly as the residuals will likely be better.

My options list is pretty light, as I’m all too aware that price can start running away here, but so far I’ve chosen optional wheels, added Sport Chrono, park assist that my wife insists on, upgraded seats…
I know that is a great spec for my use, but there any glaring omissions that I’ll regret come resale?

It’ll be my only car - but I don’t drive more than once or twice a week.

Before you pull the trigger have a quick look at those in stock, there are substantial discounts where you'd get lots of extras included. This works if ok with being a little flexible on colour.

I certainly would, but I’m overseas and there is zero stock here, unfortunately.

For a UK spec car, I would add adaptive cruise control, an increasingly necessary aid with the proliferation of average speed limits. I have had this fitted on my last three 911's.
