Hi guys, I am in the process of buying the 991.2 GT3 RS from Porsche Centre Glasgow.

Does anyone know of anything negative about it or its past?

The only bad thing I have found so far is the 6 former keepers, this doesn’t bother me in the slightest, but I accept it will make it more difficult to sell in the future as most people would prefer low ownership.

I also think it is around £10,000 over priced but it is my absolute perfect spec and they don’t come along very often! It has to be guards red and I don’t like the exposed carbon on the Weissach cars.

Helping justify the asking price is the fact it has 34 months Porsche warranty, full ppf and it has just had the 4 year big service.

We have owned 6 different 911’s over the years, I bought my first one at the grand age of 21, but we sold the last one around 10 years ago when we started a family, it was replaced by a motorhome and a boat!

My now 9 year old little boy is absolutely car mad! So I’m buying it for him really and can not wait to see his little face when they pull the cover back in the show room.

Any info or opinions would be very much appreciated, good or bad while I still have time to change my mind.

Thank you very much
Kevin.

Depends if you really need the RS features
For only £5K more this to me is the best for that price range

Yeah defo want an RS, either this one or wait for another if we find any problems with it. Not keen on the 992 personally.

I've been keeping an eye on the 991.2 RS market for some time, would like to add one if the right car comes along. From what I have observed your car isn't overpriced, the market has firmed up and the number of decent cars has dried up - there were typically 6 for sale at OPC's 6-12m ago. I regret dithering on a 2019 4k mile 1 owner WP car at OPC Sheffield at £185k, suspect that would be £200k+ now.6 owners would put me off personally, but several 4-5 owner cars have recently sold at OPC's so clearly not a deal breaker for many. I only recall seeing one other guards red car on the market in the last 12m.

I bought a 991.2 RS from JZM in October last year. Like the OP, I had an 'RS' itch that needed to be scratched. At GT3 would not quite do it and the only other car I considered very seriously was a GT4RS. There were more cars about last autumn and most models are thinner on the ground in the classifieds.

Even though I loved my 997.1 GT3, which I'd owned for 7 years, it feels the 'right' decision for me. A new experience and a very different chassis to learn.

When I was looking around, I did notice a few low miles cars, one at local OPC, where the condition - especially interior wear and tear - did not seem commensurate with miles. I have spoken to people who tell me these things can have mileage blockers fitted. So in short, it is not only odometer miles, but overall condition to check.

As for that car - I like it. Looks well in red and I think the price is fair at that declared mileage. I just had big service done by OPC Wolves and it was a good chunk, so that's a nice one to have ticked off.

Matt Armstrong reckons this 991.1 RS was clocked:
