I m in a predicament, this week I ve sold my 991 GT3 Clubsport and track modified Exige V6. Owned both for 4 years and no longer have the time to do as many trackdays as I used to but I still want to enjoy the few I do.

I must have a GT3 in the garage, it exceeded my expectations hugely and has been an incredible car to own.

Lucky enough to have some other toys but having considered a 600LT, I would prefer the screaming flat 6 as a road x track car.

Would love to have a touring but one big issue is the lack of harnesses, for me being quite slim it makes a massive difference on track. Especially in a manual having to brace myself with my knee isn t very enjoyable.

Anyone worked around this? Removable harness bar or something?

So I m thinking I m going to have to go for a winged GT3 but then it seems sensible to have a PDK for full attack mode.

Can anyone give me an alternative perspective?

Edit - why did I sell the 991? I’ve owned it for 4 years and after trying a 992, I found the front end behaviour more inline with my driving style and preference.

PDK vs manual.... the age old debate
extra engagement vs ultimate lap time...
if ultimate track times are a goal, wouldn't you want mid engine'd too (GT4 RS)?
whatever
If I were lucky enough to have other toys and getting a track focused 911.... PDK for me, but I'd also be getting the 991.2 as I think it looks better, which obviously is both subjective and does sweet FA for track times smile

I am also rather tall and slim. The stock buckets are too wide for my frame. I get the upholstery adjusted so they fit snugly. That's still far away from a harness but for spirited road driving it's perfect
