2002 986 Roof problem

The roof on my 2002 986 has suddenly decided to play up. It will not fully retract but by repeated pressing of the dashboard button I can get the clamshell to open by stages and the roof to start to open but no further. The handbrake light is on and the windows drop when releasing the internal catch. I can hear the relay working but it will not lower the roof. Again by repeated pressing I can get the clamshell down and the roof to lock but the warning light on the dash still shows it as open. Help!

Might be a gmduff microswitch but prob a snapped cable or similar I would leave well alone for fear of damaging the motors etc. Get it to and Indy specialist.
