they couldn't even get a set of wheel spacers out on time, and when they did arrive, they were wrong

I'd be having a chat with David Masters at Bilstein UK to see if he'll sell you the dampers you want (be they PSS9/10 or B16) without their preferred springs.
You can then do your due diligence on spring rates as I did when I had the 3 way adjustable Ohlins built for the Manthey GT3, then get the springs from Eibach UK who are on the same industrial estate as Bilstein UK.......
I know someone else who's gone this route, the results were rather impressive........
