On pressing the clutch there is a very distinct click, squeak audible noise, which as you can imagine becomes very irritable. Any idea what this may be? Quick google doesn’t really point to anything Cayman based. But does seem a problem on other Porsche models

And also a rather strong and unpleasant burning smell coming from the rear (mainly passenger rear wheel area), id personally say similar to burning brakes rubber etc, but when felt they are of normal temp
Again search leads me to believe it’s what the engines are sealed in, but I can’t help feel that if this was the case they'd find a new product to use, as it’s quite an embarrassing smell, certainly enough to make you turn your head to wonder where it’s coming from.

Smell may be normal, but there’s always that thought in the back of my mind that its instantly serious

Apart from that, it’s been a pleasure to live with

Thanks

Clutch pedal is probably the switch on top of the pedal, cheap (less than £30 if my memory serves correct) and easy part to fix yourself. I had the same issue on my Cayman S and swapped it myself in less than 5 mins.

The smell is perfectly normal.
