Hi

Looked in the battery compartment today when topping up the washer fluid and found a clear hose that doesn't appear to be connected to anything. The free end looks like it has been attached to a push fit, and the non-free end disappears off into what looks like the left hand wheelarch near the ARB. I can't for the life of me work out where it is supposed to be connected, unless it is a battery breather that is redundant with a non-porsche battery?

Pic below (hopefully) - any help much appreciated.

Plug it into the hole in the side of the battery.

If you don't your car will blow up! 😉

Yes, battery vent pipe. You seem to be missing a 90degree connector to join the pipe to the battery, I reused the one off my Porsche battery when It was replaced with a Bosch battery.

You can probably buy one from your local OPC at the bargain price of £29.99 or go to your local DIY shop and get one for 50p!!

Cheers guys - the car is as bought so the previous owner had the audacity to fit a non Porsche battery. Will see what I can find. Warranty is 3rd party so no bother there.

...until claim time! Hopefully you'll never need to find out though.

Already paid out more than it cost when a spring snapped. Got a few more things planned to get fixed before it runs out too. Impressed so far (Warranty Wise)
