Smaller steering wheel fit to 987

At 6ft6 my knees are an inch the wrong side of comfy....so much so I almost got an auto (not quite that bad though!)

I can live with it but was wondering.....droppping the seat off the runners and onto the floor (as I did with a TVR once) is a no go as GF will drive it too (and she is not 6ft6!)
So is a smaller wheel an option? Looking on the carnewal site (while planning the exhaust mod!) I see I can get a unit for a few hundread pound - is that pretty simple to get fitted? If the cost creeps up I'll not bother....but if theres a sensibly priced option out there...

(until then, need car slippers with no sole!)

An obvious question to ask but you do have your current wheel at its maximum height and furthest from the dash setting? Its easy to overlook these things sometimes.
