..pretty much decided on a 350x HR, however I would just like to clarify what I have heard on Caymans first....

Is it true that the engines have a fundamental engineering design flaw? (I believe it was cylinder walls / water jacket) - If so, is this true of all models? - My budget would be sub £15k for first car

Any more issues to be aware of in this price bracket? - Does a sub 20k budget lift you out of this problem?

It's a rather opinionated for a 'buyers guide' so read with a pinch of salt

There's a disclaimer about me being an opinionated bd in my blogs at the beginning wink I make no apologies for it. Feel free to counter any of them or highlight any inaccuracies. I'm big enough that I can admit when I'm wrong and make changes. Have done to that a couple of times now. The opinion bits though, they're mine and fairly obvious.

Weird that, mine went the other way. Definitely less prone to understeer on the 17's than it was on the 18's. Maybe it's a power thing? With the S you have you've got a lot more power to unstick the rears, whereas with the 2.7 with the big wheels it took serious effort when on the move, such is the traction on offer. Either that or mins's just got some weird geometry going on... Either way I noticed the understeer a lot more on the 18's... I suspect the ease at which you can get the car moving now is possibly hiding the fact that the balance hasn't actually changed. It's all voodoo wink

did you run the same make of tyre on the 17" and 18"

I cannot see a change in wheel size affecting the balance that much with the same tyre contact patch.
