Speed hump problems?
Discussion
I was watching a Dutch review of the Cayman GT4 on YouTube this morning and the reviewers were commenting on the way it scuffed the front spoiler as it negotiated speed humps?
Have any owners of other Boxster/Cayman models had similar problems? (In my case I would be interested in the experience of BGTS drivers)
I don't really want to be having to take a diagonal approach to all speed humps.

Mines a S with PASM - so the ride height is as low as a GTS on PASM (but not SS) BUT the splitter is not so protruding nor (I believe) as low as the GTS. And, although I do not have a problem with speed humps, it is marginal on even vaguely sloping drives - and grounds on some. So, personally, I would be disinclined to buy a GTS for that reason and be wary of SS. If you look at the information on the GTS bodywork option on the S you will see that Porsche warn of reduced ground clearance.Have any owners of other Boxster/Cayman models had similar problems? Long story short, only the 997 GT3 RS and Carrera GT are worse for speed humps due to the very long overhangs, low ride height and lack of front lift option on the GT4. Porsche themselves rated is less useable day to day than a 991 GT3 on launch which makes sense because it is positioned as a road going track toy after all.
The GTS should have a lot better ground clearance although still compromised compared to the normal PASM S.

CGTS with ss/x73 here.
Front dams are not vergin anymore (plastic bits at the bottom of the front bumper), but just a couple of touches to the ground, you can't spot it unless you examine the bottom edge, not really an issue at all. Front lower valance is ok, never touched (big concern on GT3/GT4).

A GTS owner previously posted that on his way to work he had to change route from the natural one or diagonally cross some speed humps he met. Not sure everyone would put up with that on a DD. I've just come back from France heavily laden - I was very circumspect as it was getting on/off the ferry. I'd have been having kittens if the car had been any lower.Front dams are not vergin anymore (plastic bits at the bottom of the front bumper), but just a couple of touches to the ground, you can't spot it unless you examine the bottom edge, not really an issue at all.
