Bought my first used Boxster - just noticed this...

Hi all,

Bought my first Porsche, an 09 Boxster S, from an OPC a couple of weeks ago. All good so far, but I just noticed this in the front section of the rear wheel arches (both sides) due to the angle of the sunlight.



Any ideas why the paint would be so bumpy in this area? Is this normal?

Its a rugged coating to surface to protect from stone chips.
