Cayman gts park assist help

Hi all,

Was an intersting day today as the Atom has gone and a new cayman gts arrived, loving the car so far and will upload pictures as soon as i have time

Quick question on park assist, it does have front and rear sensors but there is no visual display like the one i test drove, it does have pcm etc as well, i have found in the 'car' menu there is a button for it which says unavailable, salesman is unsure, can anyone on here help?

It's possible to disable park assist via a switch just behind the rear view mirror. Is it set to off?

It was on, i have tried toggling this off and on and it still beeps at both ends of the car, does it make any difference its a manual?

Mine's PDK but I can't see why they would operate differently. On mine with the switch on (light out) then I get both beeps and display, with the switch off (light on) I get neither beeps nor display - which seems reasonable. Sounds like you have a fault.

right so i fixed this last night, there are two different options, one of which seems to only let you turn it off and on in settings with the car off, it was just a case of switching the Park Assist to Auto (rather than manual) then in the Car option setting the tick box to ticked. It now works perfectly, no idea why the previous person went to so much effort to turn it off. Also found a Cayenne vid on how to change the time and connect my phone

Didn't realise until I got my car that you only get the visual indicator if you have the front sensors as well; doesn't seem to be present on my car with CDR+ and Rear only sensors.

Surprised the dealer didn't take you through connecting your phone.
