Does anyone else have trouble with leaves sucked into the side vents and then getting stuck in the fans?
Round my way there are a lot of oak trees and a few weeks after I bought the car there was a very loud clicking noise coming from the left rear of the car. Thought there was something seriously wrong but tracked it down to racket from inside the left side air intake. It sounded like a broken fan but as the car was still running alright I made my way home and looked at it next day. Removed the air filter before realising it gave no access to the source of the noise. So I looked in the side intake with a powerful torch, saw the fan and gave it a few turns with a long screwdriver, managing to flick an oak leaf out of the way.
Now this year I've had a very similar noise from the right side of the car and again could see a leaf deep in the air intake. Tried sucking it out with the hoover but no success. Eventually fabricated a long, thin hook from an old wire coat-hanger and carefully fished it out by hand. Another dry oak leaf.
I'm surprised there's no proper grille fitted so that rubbish is easily removed rather than burying itself deep inside the back of the car. The dealers must be seeing customers with this problem if it's happened twice to me.

Yes, Ive had it a number of times now and its a pain in the backside.
I've got one of these which comes in handy for removing the leaves from the side air intakes. https://www.toolorders.co.uk/Teng_Tools_Flexible_C...

Im not sure why Porsche didnt put the GT4 grills on the GTS which is where I think the rads are particularly exposed.
Its annoying and personally ocd about pulling them out. On a gen 1 cayman i left them over a long spell and it ended up rooting the AC rad and that blew when I had it recharged in the summer. Lesson learnt.

IF leaves in the side vents are a problem undoubtedly so too will they be a problem in the radiator ducts. Frequent cleaning of these ducts is conducive to prolonging the A/C condenser and radiator service life.
Also, you should check the body water drains to ensure these do not have a collection of leaf trash that can block the drains. If this happens water can collected and over flow into the cabin and if you think a leaf clicking in a side vent fan is annoying wait until you smell the odor of a frying security module due to water in the cabin.
