Breaking a 986 boxster - value?

If the worst should happen and the dreaded IMS failure were to occur, what is an early 2.5 boxster worth when dismantled for parts?

Just looking for a ballpark figure!

Why break it? A second hand engine from a breakers (with an upgraded IMS) will see it back on the road.

Guess that begs the secondary question of what a used engine costs and how much they changed throughout the years....

I agree with the above.Douglas valley breakers value a scrap Boxster based on it having a working engine and for a 2.5 in working order they will pay £1250.
