987 Pads for Ceramic brakes

Hi All,
My Cayman R needs new PCCB pads so wondered what advice was around?.....I'm slightly scared of the things after hearing de-lamination horror stories!
How often do people change them?
What's a good price (assuming dealer fit)?
Are there better alternatives to OEM?
My car's still under warranty so I'll be sticking to OEM but would be interested in people's experiences.
Cheers,
LN7

Front PCCB pads on my Cayman S were done at 42K. They hadn't actually worn out but had separated from the backing so were binding.
They actually had lots of material left but the OPC said they had been overheated, not sure how.
I have done 20K since and the pads still have lots of material, I don't do track days but have had about 10 laps at the ring since they were changed.
Cost was around £700 IIRC. They actually replaced the pads, all the wear sensors, shims, pad springs and bolts so the parts cost was high. Could probably get away with keeping the old wear sensors and other bits which might reduce the cost.
I think the pads are around £250 + VAT - PAGID in a different box with a markup!
Not cheap..
