Advice please,

looking to purchase a late Gen I 3.4S high spec or early Gen II 2.9.
What could I expect to pay for annual warranty cover OEM and Non OEM?

Found this on here yesterday, not sure if it's any help, I have always been lucky enough to have cars with OPC warranty and never needed to claim 😄

And then theres he famous 'wear and tear' clause, where anything you try and claim for is actually a wear and tear item...

The following non-exclusive list of parts can be affected by wear and tear:
• Exhaust system including
catalytic converter
• Spark plugs
• Drive belt
• Drive shaft bellows
• Synchroniser rings
• Differential lock
• Clutch incl. release bearing
• Steering-joint bellows
• Shock absorbers
• Tyres
• Tyre sealing system
• Wheel bearings
• PDCC reservoir
• Brake pads
• Brake discs
• Air conditioning refrigerant
• Fuses
• Batteries
• Wiper blades
• Floor mats
• Fire extinguisher
• Door seals
• All filters, hoses, fluids,
oils and greases
• All bulbs (excluding Xenon
and LED bulbs)

I'd stick the premium in a rainy day fund and self-insure personally.

I've got a warranty on a Gen 2 S I got last year. Under 30k miles and so far I've had all coolant pipes and both a/c condensers replaced under it. It has probably paid for itself for what are sImple items but I wouldn't have wanted to lay out for both of them myself - seems porsche quality ain't what it used to be. Given most Indys I know charge £70 + vat per hour, £1200 over 2 years doesn't appear that bad to me. Bmw were cheaper on my old 335i at circa 35 pcm.
