Who needs diesel?
Discussion
This trip was from Chorley to just off junction 31 of the M1. So M60, M62 and M1. For anyone who knows this route it is far from flat, makes the result even more impressive or disappointing depending on your view point
No fancy techniques just sticking to the speed limit, there's a fair amount of average 50mph zone at the moment so no doubt that helped and it was pretty hard to actually get to 70mph due to traffic most of the time. It rose as high as 40.5mpg at one point before hitting traffic at a standstill joining then M1 from the M62.
This is a 987.2 Cayman S.

I refilled straight after and this was the predicted range.

PS, although it says Radio 2 on the display I actually had it muted before any of you lot draw a correlation!

pretty impressive
in defence of the diesel..
I jumped into my wife's cayenne diesel a couple of weeks ago...
Just as I set off the low fuel light came on..I soldiered on (heading to a ball in Central London) and took the decision finally to fill up once I got to Ealing (190 miles later) we often see 800 miles achieved on a tank full.
