Had an *awesome* car and driving day yesterday :)

Was one of those days where the planets unexpectedly aligned (and the weather did as well!). Decided to take the BGTS to go first to Crawley for a test drive of the new Caterham 620S, then to Guildford OPC to get a minor warranty thing sorted.
Test drive of the 620S was brill - I still prefer my 620R, but the sun was shining, the chaps at the dealership were friendly and petrol heady as always (spent about 40 mins chatting about all things cars before we got around to the test drive). Car was great, fapping fast still and given that TG and presumably Evans had had it the day before, and Evo on Thursday, surprisingly in one piece :P
Anyway, having successfully not died despite 500bhp/tonne and no electronic aids, and chatting too long, I realised I only had 40 mins to get to OPC Guildford, but the nav was telling me it would take 50
Cue mega cross country blat from Crawley to Guildford with almost no traffic. Lots of DC with fun roundabouts thrown in with a few twisties as well
Made it on time and got to Guildford before the service chaps knocked off at 2pm....job jobbed. Had a poke round the new 991.2, got a wave from the chap that sold me my BGTS, then back in the car to get to Midhurst for the next errand at 3pm. Zipped down the A3 and turned off at Lea Brook Rd, down there with no traffic (yum through the woods!) then thrapped it down the A286 to Haslemere which is just *awesome* if there is no traffic. PSE bouncing off the trees with roof down, it was brill. Road from Haslemere to Midhurst was also fairly clear, ran my errand, then came the long way back to SW London via Petworth. Traffic was a bit in the way this time, but still very pleasant. Arrived home for tea and medals at about 5pm after 100 miles or so of great fun. Nice
