Aghh! Please can someone help me with this! I spent a frustrating few hours yesterday trying to download the contents of an Apple iPod Classic to my Boxsters internal 'Jukebox' without success.
I can play the music direct from the iPod, but can't find the option to transfer into the car. I've got less than the 40gb jukebox limit on the iPod, so I don't think it's a capacity issue.
Please can someone give me the right directions on how to do this, so that I don't have to drive an hour to get to the dealer, for what I'm hoping is s very simple operation?

I' starting to suspect that I can't download direct from the iPod to the jukebox - possibly the wrong file type? - but can anyone confirm this?

I have never tried, just stick them on a stick and be done with it , think you can also copy from disc /cd .

The option is definitely there from a USB stick (under the "Options" tab?), although I found I never went on a long enough trip to transfer all of my 8Gb music.

I think it has to be done by having only 1Gb or so on a stick at a time and driving for an hour whilst downloading, otherwise each time you try and transfer all your music it just starts from the beginning again so you only ever get the As and Bs (if in artist order).

Thanks for the help! I've just got off-the-peg one and you're right - you can't download direct from the iPod, only via memory stick. Not sure I'll bother as the connected iPod works fine, and once the revs are up I can't hear music that much anyway!!

I am sure if you do some googling you can confirm, but I am pretty sure an Ipod (or any apple device) actually converts the files when you upload, so it's not stored as MP3, so you can't just copy like a USB.
