Hi All, as the topic says, if you have Club Sport pack did you get your dealer to fit the harness and do you use it regularly? What do you do with the harness if you are not using it?

I'm picking my car up next week and haven't asked the dealer to fit as it will mostly be a road car & TBH I think I may feel a bit of a Pratt harnessing up to 'go to the shops'!

On the other hand, if you spec club sport and spend the extra cash on it, why leave one of the major parts of the pack boxed?

Deffo get them fitted, it all adds to the sense of occasion.
I have always had club sport GT3 cars but rarely used the harnesses on the road. The GT4 is different somehow and I used the harnesses 100% of the time. Not sure why but it may be down to the LWB seats, it all does gel beautifully.
The only tip is to get a spare buckle either from the scrapyard or in my case from an old dog restraint harness and bung it in the buckle holder otherwise the seat belt warning light stays on. Bit poor of Porsche not to think that one through and give you the ability to switch it off.

Can you not have both fitted at the same time? ie seatbelts and harnesses?

Dealer fitted mine before collection. They're relatively easy to tuck away when not in use.

I didn't get them to fit the extinguisher but then that's quite a simple install.

Dealer has fitted the extinguisher on my car, but not the harnesses (yet!). Car is away being detailed and will be trailered back on Friday so I'm not sure they will have the chance to fit them before my collection on Saturday.

Starting to think I want the harnesses fitted now.

Mine was done quite last minute. Took them about half a day.

Is there any way of fitting harnesses to a non-club sport GT4 with the 918 seats? Would like a little more support on track if possible.

There's got to be an answer to this, anyone found it yet?

Have you tried a CG lock? Simple but effective bit of kit.

Do we know if the the chassis fixings are present on the non CS cars? If so I conclude that a non CS car wanting to fit harnesses we require the mentioned brackets (which I think are a metal cylinder type thing) and the the actual harnesses?

Perhaps I used the wrong terminology. I thought it had been resolved that the fixing locations weren't located on a non CS car?

I believe the chassis behind the seats is different on CS equipped cars. This is where the shoulder harness fixings attach. I guess for the £4k extra you are entitled to have something different from non CS cars even if you cannot actually see it without fitting the harnesses.

that's the issue, no ones knows, it would take some one to take the carpet out and see if the 4 threaded holes are there to attach the kits too.

I have the part numbers some where, but NO one can say if the holes are there for the brackets if one were to buy them. !

I believe this is the unanswered question. You may well be right but 100% confirmation would be ideal.

Can anyone tell me - did their ClubSport pack come with all the brackets and bolts etc. To fit the drivers harness?

I have the harness (unfitted at present) but don't have any fixing kits or the like.

You should get a little box with fitting kit also.
