Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but would like to know if the cage and harnesses can be retro fitted.

no mounting brackets on the fire wall in the standard car.

And while you can buy the brackets you have nothing to mount them too.

don't get a cage in a road car mind you, it just adds weight.

I am not 100% sure but I happened to be having this conversation with Parr last week and they told me that Porsche will allow them to order the CS parts for a non original CS GT4 so long as they can supply the chassis number for the car in question. They also said that there is no difference between the CS and non CS spec cars in terms of chassis in white etc. So mounting points for the harnesses should be in place for non original CS cars. Further, they said that the motorsport Club Sport GT4 body shells are pulled off the regular GT4 production line in order to build the competition cars.

Please double check this for yourselves as it was not the main reason I was speaking to them but a secondary conversation that we touched on for a few moments.

This debate clearly needs some clarity as you clearly have different info to me. Can't somebody simply speak to Porsche GB or Germany?

Not easy as don't have a GT4 but since you do I'll take you word for it. Are you say that the mounting points of the harnesses are not present in a non CS chassis?

Possibly, but there seem some uncertainly about this. Trying calling somebody like Parr Motorsport to have a proper chat about it.

I think that's probably favourite as I don't want purchase a non CS if it can't be done.

In posts on either Planet9 or Rennlist, BGB Motorsport wrote that they do not consider the GT4 scaffolding to be a cage and they have developed a custom cage for proper track protection.

The Americans appear to have tried and at the last check, failed.
