I have been watching the market for some time and I have finally taken the plunge and purchased a new gt4 from Porsche. Unfortunately I was not one of the lucky ones to get a new order and I know some will think I am mad paying over list but I am happy with my deal and that's what matters.

Added a quick pic below but key spec items are as follows:

Clubsport
918 seats with full leather.
PCM

The car has a load more options as well and new list was just shy of £80k.

Congrats!

If it was new, how can porsche charge over list - I assume it actually got sold to a speculator? Hope you didnt pay too much over!

Enjoy.

Classic Porsche play of 'sale or return' as they like to call it.

Paid a bit more than I would like but I got a nice discount on our macan gts, and from what I have heard that is virtually unheard of, as they are well over 12 months waiting list so happy with the overall deal.

Car has 12 miles on the clock.

The other bonus is its got me where I need to be with my dealer so I should have a good chance of being able to buy new when the next one comes out.

Congrats enjoy your car,the thing is although you paid over list you may only loose the same as if you went out and bought say a new 991 at the same money and as you rightly say at least you have got one with delivery miles for a few K more than one with a few thousand

Enjoy awesome cars, that looks lovely.

They are really prone to chipping so if you want the black paint to stay petty consider ppf on the side skirts, scoops and rear bit behind bumper.

Do all GT4s get thrashed? Why is this?

Looks mean in all black.

I'm not normally a big fan of black wheels, but that is very cool.

I paid over list for my Spyder and got to the same place as you, if you want one then the nearly new ones are likely to be as low as they will be but who knows. The mix of no miles and 3000 mile used cars is making things confusing re pricing which is all over the place but this will stabilise once the flippers have moved on which is already happening. Anyway sod the cash and enjoy what is surely one of the greats.

people are buying loads of cars at over list, it's not an issue, not sure why people are making a GT4 over list an issue.
if one wants a 997.2 GT3 they are way over and no one bats an eye, and bar the engine the GT4 is the better car.

I think Porsche selling del miles cars IS the ISSUE as that's very under hand imo and why the whole thing was crazy.
some back handers and favors going on with any dealers which are selling del miles new cars !

Paying over list is what it is 2nd hand , I would say £15k overs is ok, if you paid more, well that's the choice of the buyer.

Del miles or with 1k miles on the car is still a 2 owners already.

I also don't get the trashed thing, you will thrash yours I guess and the next owner will be the 3rd owner !

will people hunt out org owner cars and buy face to face next spring or buy 2/3 owners cars liked the flipped ones with no way of any history who the 1st owner was.
I think I would buy a 1 owner car with 6k miles at £80k over a flipped 2 owner car at £95k, flipped cars I tend to find are the thrashed cars !

Thanks all, I am more than happy with the price as the all in deal with the macan gts which arrives next month means I have paid less than most premiums showing on cars listed including those with 3-6k on the clock. Plus I also got the benefit of much better finance, than I could elsewhere.

I purchased the car to use it and I have 4 ful days at Porsche silverstone which the wife kindly purchased, and a number of other events to attend.

I agree it's bad of Porsche in a way facilitating flipping but all the manufactures seem to do it in some way or another.

Regarding PPF this is already booked in along with a new car correction detail.

I was knackered after a 1/2 day's instruction at SIlverstone. How are you going to "mix it up" a little, as even four separate days in the same car on their small tracks would become a little tiresome I think?

That is a lovey looking car fella! Particularly aggressive too, esp with the black wheels. You have now given me ideas for my standard Cayman S, currently all black with the Turbo wheels. Enjoy!

DMC - it's not just on the small track it includes road work and also on the international circuit.

Still gobsmacked how much the courses cost but as the wife paid who am I to complain.
