Bit of a rollercoaster head spinner today, nearly bought a GTS but one main thing put me off, it didn't have a GTS interior.

Shame the original purchaser only liked leather interiors and didn't like the GTS offering :/

The search continues.

This was posted in the Boxster/Cayman section, so I guess it wasn't a Macan he was after.

OP...was it a manual or PDK?

you got me , I only ever press the Porsche button and never go into sections.

when people normally say GTS it's a 911. while I thought I was being clever , I failed :-)

Agree if it doesn't meet your needs keep looking. I think the standard GTS interior is good with the mix of alcantara and leather. Many owners thought it a rip off for the red or silver stitching - I decided it looked classier without the coloured stitching but did order the carbon trim. Another thing I wasn't keen on was the red instrument dial, think the black is better - but I know some think the GTS interior is great so it's personal choice.

I like the leather/alcantara with the silver stitching and dial, etc very much. I would have been a little more hesitant had it had red accents, but I'd probably have bought it anyway.(It was dealer specced for stock).

The whole GTS interior is pretty classy with all the leather, alcantara and carbon and worth holding on to get if buying used.

My view of the interior is that it's nice, but for a daily driver, my usage, that leather makes more sense.

As has been said the right car will be out there.

Must say, I agree with you....can't really see the point in buying a GTS without the GTS interior ....may as well just buy a S....

Good luck with your search!

I was looking recently for a GTS about 5 weeks ago, found one with the GTS interior, carbon and silver stitching. To be honest i think it needs to be that combo (or red stitching) to feel special inside.

There are only a few for sale within the OPC network so makes for little choice. There not common like a GT4 tongue out lol.

Agreed, it elevates the interior to 'special' from 'great'.

Just to clarify it was a Boxster GTS. Great spec car but plain leather interior like a Boxster S. There were no pictures on the web when I enquired and was asked by the salesman why I wanted photos of the interior, got me thinking so asked for clarification on spec and was told not a GTS interior. By the time I decided not to buy it, it sold anyway. Regrets ? Maybe.

Mine is a Boxster GTS too, I reserved it over the phone as there are not many at all around. Keep looking, the current ones for sale don't take my fancy at the moment. I wouldn't regret it, just wait until the right car comes up.

Strange why anyone would have ordered a GTS with normal Boxster full leather interior, each to their own I guess - don't even get GTS logo on the headrests!
I carped at paying over £2k for a few strips of plastic looking carbon and coloured stitching and seat belt edges, I had the standard GTS leather / alcantara trim but specified interior package painted in Carrara white. At least I kept the GTS special theme!

GTS interior is a must IMHO. Add carbon sill guards to finish it off nicely biggrin

I agree - but it's still the exclusive GTS interior with or without the carbon and coloured bits. Each to their own but to us the dark carbon trim accentuated the black coal cellar cockpit which is why we opted for the interior package painted. This option doesn't work with all the colour range though IMO.

Not a fan of painted interiors so that's where the silver stitching of the GTS pack and a white exterior come in - stops it being all dark and gloomy wink

Black exterior with the stock interior would be pretty dire IMHO.

I spent money on bits that enhanced the drive, PDLS+, PTV and PCCB. I could see (perverse logic maybe) in spending £5k on the brakes, couldn't see over £2k on carbon strips (not a fan of it as you may have gathered) and coloured thread. Only regret - not opting for the 18 way adaptive sports seats.
