OK so full investigation of my poorly PSE has revealed it toasted itself. Leaking from the valve flaps and about 3 cracks in it and the inside of one side of the back box has disintegrated inside and is rattling. Well I suppose it did struggle on to 25k miles!

So - Replacement Porsche part £2500 which has got me looking at aftermarket options.

Key requirements are to keep the activation of the flaps to the button on the dash and also have something thats not too loud in off mode. I suppose in open mode it doesnt matter too much. Also no droning allowed!

Design 911 do a valvetronic system but werent sure how we would make it work with the dash button

Fabspeed do a similar system but its double the price of the Design 911 one.

Has anyone fitted any of these systems?

PS if anyone has a PSE backbox in the shed unused give me a shout!

Frying pan/Fire? lol

Cargraphic sounds epic on their vid. Looking like the power kit to go with it. Might keep up with the Cayman Rs then biggrin

ha I think it was getting to that time in its life when it needs some money spending. With this lot we'll be up to about 5k with fork arms/PCCB pads/Exhaust/tyres its only done about 1500 miles biggrin

If it was me I would be looking to add a little more power by improving the breathing and exhaust and getting a custom remap. Brakes and suspension should still be fine. Always thought it would be awesome with about 360bhp if it's possible - check out the Fabspeed stuff...

Well had a word with Gert and the replacement PSE was the cheapest route and better the devil you know etc. I might be a complete tart and get that cargraphic one later on. At least I'll still have a working pse with the car. Might look at the power kit when we get my 911 finished.
