Hi all ...

Have a problem
I have been told that my Porsche Boxster has been imported and that it is not a Boxster S

also noticed that the V5 shows

: Cylinder Capacity 3000cc

Can anyone help how I can clarify what it is ...

Mike.

An Indy or dealer can check the VIN.

Have you tried decoding the VIN yourself? Easy enough to type into something like: http://www.renntech.org/images/vin_decoder/Porsche...

Where did you buy it, privately, OPC, or dealer?

I've plugged the registration of your car into here.

That gave me this info:

Vehicle details
Vehicle make - PORSCHE
Date of first registration - 25 November 2005
Year of manufacture - 2005
Cylinder capacity (cc) - 3000cc
CO?Emissions - 262 g/km
Fuel type - PETROL
Export marker - N
Vehicle status - SORN in place
Vehicle colour - BLACK
Vehicle type approval - M1
Wheelplan - 2 AXLE RIGID BODY
Revenue weight - Not available

I then found this Porsche press release.

Based on a match of the CO2 emissions that implies that your car is a Tiptronic Boxster S.

Looking at the Dates of First Registation above, unless it was both manufactured and then imported during 2005, I'd say it's a UK 3.2 litre which for some reason has the wrong CC noted.

If it is UK car most on here will know it should have a sticker on it to say C16 may be in the service book .
