Help fuel cap stuck!
Discussion
Can't believe it! Owned the car for all of three weeks and first issue.
Just went out for a late night drive and stoped to fuel up.. fuel cap won't open!
It pops open part way - 3-4mm but feels like it's off axis somehow.
Tried the emergency puller inside the door which does nothing!
Gutted.. anyone else had this?

981??
Very very common problem.
You need to remove the motor from inside the fuel cap.
Phone Porsche assistance they will be aware of the problem and will be able to remove the motor and open the fuel cap.
If this isn't a option you will have to get on your back on the ground and reach into the wheel arch and remove the motor yourself.
I had 3 replaced before I sold the car.
If it's a 718 I would guess it's the same design fault!

Cool, thanks, yep 981 - I've got 38 miles of fuel in the tank!
No Porsche assist yet as having to wait 90 days until I can get the warranty, only bought 3 weeks ago.
Found this which seems to describe issue well. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
