On the 718 Cayman S:

That's all of 7% (or £3.3k applied to my Cayman spec). Could, and quite probably will get worse. Didn't vote for Brexit, but little choice but to "suck up" the consequences, good (eventually, I hope) and less good (just now). I work for a business that imports. We are doing the same to our customers. It's how it is!Sport Chrono Package including mode switch QR5 Old Price £ 1,416.00 New Price £ 1,514.00

I've got an order for a new Cayenne that is being built in Jan....initial deposit paid but not "locked down" yet. If they try and impose price rises I'll walk away, there are plenty of used cars around and I got rather carried away on the box ticking so there's plenty of margin in it. One of the reasons I was happy taking a hit on buying new was because price rises have to come and I think when the new Cayenne comes out it'll be a decent amount more expensive.
And don't forget the extra cost of VED that will be coming in next for expensive cars that will be lobbed on top of the purchase price. No matter how low the emissions are. Government now showing their true colours...only interested in what revenue they can get...using VED to get manufacturers to reduce emissions and encouraging people to buy them was just a smoke screen.

And the increase on insurance premium tax - 12% from next June, on a compulsory product for motorists . . .boxsey said:

The only upside (if there is one from the VED hike) is the promise - if politicians' promises can be believed - that for the first time all the receipts raised by VED will be ploughed into road improvements.Olderandwiser22 said:
It's the sports crono package that has upped my spec price.
I take it because my car is on Porsche order books and I have a contract now for the agreed price I'm immune from any price increases?
You are not immune until the car has left the factory and been invoiced to Porsche GB.I take it because my car is on Porsche order books and I have a contract now for the agreed price I'm immune from any price increases?

There is no way that can be right??.
Can anyone else confirm this?
If this is the case I might pull my order.
Its right unfortunately. Check the small print of your order form. Its buried in there somewhere. Can anyone else confirm this?

To be honest if a price rise on sport chrono is the extent of Porsche's price rises I'll be pretty pleased! We can only hope!
