PSM failure warning when turning corners on Gen1 987
Discussion
Ive got a 2007 987 Boxster 2.7.
The past 2 days ive driven it ive got in the car started it up and seen a warning saying PSM failure (see attached image - sorry for the image being upside down, the inbuilt image uploader seems to keep wanting to flip the image when i upload it).
I tried clearing the message by pressing the PSM on / off button, it donst work when the PSM failure warning is on.
As soon as i drive off and get over about 10mph it seems the warning seems to clear itself, and i can now manually turn PSM on / off using the button in the centre console.
As soon as i turn a sharp corner circa >90 degrees at over roughly 20mph the PSM failure warning comes back on and then very quickly goes back off after i drive off in a straight line.
Any one else come across this issue ? If i had to take a guess i would say its a sensor issue, but wondered if anyone had any insight.
Ive only seen PSM fail once before which was directly after an engineer ran a diagnostics test on the car to trouble shoot and issue with the roof (a solenoid had gone) when i turned on the car after they fixed it the PSM failier was displayed but quickly disappeared after about 30 seconds and hasn't come up again for around 2 years.
