Back this pm from a two week trip of europe. France, tiny corner of Germany, Switzerlnd, Austria, Italy, back through France. 2580 miles at 28.3mpg.
Included Susten (in fog limiting visibility to 30m!), Fluela, Furka, Col De LI'seran, Passo di Giau, amongst others. Passed a large group of Brits at a hotel on Petite St Bernard. Very nice mix of cars.
Also visited the stunning Sclumpf collection in Mulhouse, and the Porsche Gmund museum.

Nice work Mr PG
Just what these cars were made for.
I managed to be in the Swiss alps early June just after the passes opened.
Spent the best day ever driving Susten, Furka and Grimsel in beautiful sunshine with pretty much empty roads.
Absolutely glorious:-)

Good work - great roads and the Mulhouse collection is pretty awesome isn't it. More Bugatti there than I knew existed!

Meant to say that we also did the Grossglockner pass. However, it was about 11am when we got there, and it was a waste of time (and 35 euros) as it was nose to tail from bottom to top. A crawl the whole way due to the sheer number of motorists, bikers, cyclists, campers, coaches.
First thing in the morning it would be a stunning road to drive, but not at other times. I too cycle and see the appeal of taking on a climb like this, but this was just too dangerous I felt, and no idea why so many would take it on at the time we drove it. I have a couple of photos I'll post when I find them.
