It's no dafter than all the other overpriced Porsche trim options.

I was at a Pirelli performance centre this week and asked about these tyres....they are special order, picked in Germany, shipped to Italy for paint etc. then onto the customer

Apparently the cost for customised colours can stretch to £10K for a full set nuts

I thought as much... they grow the rubber trees in the shape of the tyre, hence the price.

I'd prefer a diamond studded sidewall perhaps? Guards against kerbing...

I assume the 'custom colour' pen is an additional £1900 biggrin

You can even get yellow tyre paint if you want to match the Pirelli look smile

Reminds me of when I was 19, painting the GENERAL GRABBER tyre lettering on my '71 Capri!

That makes PTS on a Boxster look cheap!

Hmmm

My Porsche-correct "N rated" Boxster 981 tyres were c.£150 each from Black Circles.

I was paying close attention to the Colour Edition launch as I was hoping for a red trimmed option for my car (would fit well with the red accents on the interior and the brake callipers). Then I saw that they don't do a set for the 981...then I saw the price...then I closed the web page.
